So its cold outside. Sick bugs are flying around. So all systems a go to stay healthy.
Here are 10 things i use to boost my immune system and easy ways to fit them into your busy life! Enjoy!
1. Greens
2. Lemon Juice
3. Onions and Garlic
4. Raw Honey
5. Water
6. Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
7. Ginger Tea
8. Mushrooms
9. Sleep
10. Soup
Raise Shields! And Active Defense Systems!
1. GREENS!
So important and help clean out the gunk in the system! It’s easy during winter time to get away from greens, they have such a nice light cooling nature.. in winter time salads just don’t seem as appealing right?
But once they get back in the rotation its awesome town for the body.
Tricks:
1. Try having
a salad before lunch and dinner. Even if it is small to get that green boost during the day.
2. Raw ones are important but cooked ones work great too, see if you can add steamed green beans, collard greens, kale, broccoli,as sides with your meals at dinner too! Add some sea salt and your favorite spices.. and it will be a party in your mouth!
3. Also Kale is really great.. it has more vit-C then oranges and is awesome pants for the immune system. Raw is best. What i like to do is chop it up really fine add it to salads, soups, stir-fries, great texture and the flavor is just a hint not over baring..
Get a purifier in your diet a few times a week. For instance fresh lemon juice.Lemon juice is great at just detoxing the body and helping it heal. (make sure to get an organic one : )
1. Add it to your tea, or mix in with your water, or use as a dressing! Lemon juice is great at just detoxing the body and helping it heal. (make sure to get an organic one : )
3. Onions and garlic
Garlic is a great infection killer in the body. When i am sick i put garlic in my soup, garlic with my veggies.. really it cuts my recover time in half..
Great for recovery and help you not to get the same cold over and over again. Get something local made. Make sure it is raw and when you use it in tea wait till the tea is luke warm because otherwise it kills the enzymes that you need.
Tricks
1. I like to add it lukewarm tea or drizzle over a dish for sweetness or a sweet treat.
Raw Honey contains 5,000 live enzymes, a full range of vitamins, 22 amino acids and 27 minerals. It is a powerful antioxidant, antiviral, contains natural antibiotics, stimulates the immune system into action
Drink lots of water. Flushing out your system is the best way to avoid sickness and get it out of your body 🙂 Think how much water did you drink today?
Tricks
1. Get in any way you can fruits/veggies have the purest water inside them. Also non-caffeinated tea or just bottle water or filter water. Make it a point to drink just a little more than you normally would when you are feeling ill.
6. Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
( Raw Apple Cider Vinegar balances out your body’s ph levels to be in a healthful, alkaline state. Colds and viruses thrive in a body that has acidic ph levels…and have a hard time getting a foothold in a body that is alkaline. Raw Apple Cider Vinegar has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties and is rich in vitamins, minerals and trace elements.)
How To Take It: Do NOT purchase regular, grocery store apple cider vinegar! It has been overly processed ,exposed to harsh, toxic chemicals and has no therapeutic value. Buy the Organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar the best brand is by Bragg. Put 1 to 2 tsp. into an 8 oz glass of purified water. If the sour flavor is too intense, you can mellow it out with a tsp. of pure maple syrup or honey. Drink this 3x a day morning, noon and night.
7. Homemade Ginger Tea…
( Ginger is a strong antioxidant, anti-microbial, a natural anti-biotic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, helps ease the pain of a sore throat, decreases congestion, gets rid of chills and fever, promotes circulation, cleanses the blood, relieves indigestion and nausea, contains Vitamins A, C, E, B Complex, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Sodium, Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Beta-Carotene and Potassium.)
how to make; Peel and grate a section and boil it in a pot of purified water for 15 minutes. Add some honey and fresh lemon juice and you will have a great tasting medicinal tea.
8. MUSHROOMS
Great immune system booster. In its natural environment, the mushroom relies on these antimicrobial substances to prevent the mushroom from succumbing to bacteria, viruses, or microorganism from attacking them. When eaten, these substances carry over into the digestive system and provide the same health effects for our beauty bodies..awesome right!
9. SLEEP
Finally and you know this one SLEEP! You know that though. Get to bed on time if you need a nap take one. Your body can heal its self … let it 🙂
10. SOUP
I make a huge pot a soup during the first of the week. Then i have it all week to eat. I usually do a veggie broth, add lots of ginger, garlic, carrots, onions, sweet potatoes ( orange anything really great Vit-C to help the immune system) kale, sea salt, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini.
*Then depending on what flavor i want the soup to be it can go a few different ways.. i will add salsa too ( for a mexican feel),
*or nori seaweed, kombu seaweed, some soba noodles (asian feel),
*Italian feels, little tomato sauce, fresh basil. so there are a few different ways to go.
If you can try not to add meat to the soup. Meat is really hard for the body to digest when you are sick and can drain the precious energy body needs to fight infection and heal its self! But if you mUST make sure it is chicken because chicken broth does have health benefits.
Cheers to good health!

Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice
from an established blog. Is it very difficult to set
up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking
about creating my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Cheers

Hi, It’s like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the manual on it or something. I think that you could use a few pics to drive the message home a bit more, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I will certainly be back. Appreciate it!
